Constanza is a Chilean costume designer for stage and film. She obtained her degree in Theatre Design in 2002 from Universidad de Chile. She then received her Master’s degree in Costume Design from Tisch School for the Arts in New York University in 2012.

Constanza approaches costume design as an opportunity to tell a story through the power of colour, texture and silhouette. She appreciates engaging collaborations and active dialogues in the process of creating ideas and images for the stage.

She has designed the costumes for Don Carlos at the Kammeroper Wien (2018), Le Nozze di Figaro at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna (2019), Undine (2015) and Persinette (2019) at the Vienna State Opera.

In 2021 she designed the costumes for three of the plays that are part of the Komödien Festspiele Porcia,  a comedy festival that takes place every summer in Austria.

In September 2021, she took part in  Prangins Baroque,  a series of semi-staged concerts in Prangins, Switzerland, where she designed the costumes and set.

She recently designed the costumes for  Leoš Janáček's,  Cunning Little Vixen, which opened  the season 21/22 at Freiburg Theater in Germany and Britten's Midsummer Summer Night's Dream at Theater Akzent in Vienna.

She is currently  designing Rusalka for Theater Freiburg's season 22/23,  (Premiere March 2023)  and Rigoletto for Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile, for its 2023 season (Premiere August 2023).

Her designs have been received with great reviews.

Since 2013  she is based in Vienna, Austria.
